Vero Beach Community Comes Together To Host First Annual "POLO with a PURPOSE" Charity Ball

Vero Beach and West Palm Beach, Fla. - January 13, 2017 - Professional polo player and cancer survivor, Brandon Phillips, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and Bobby Genovese are joining together to raise awareness about various blood cancers at the "POLO with a PURPOSE" Charity Ball. Hosted by the BG Vero Beach Polo Club on Saturday, January 28 at 6:00 pm at The Oak Harbor Club, this event will be a night of community, entertainment and recognition.

In addition to directly benefitting the LLS, the Charity Ball will recognize noted Vero Beach physicians, Drs. Leonardo Mandina and Michaela Scott, and will draw international polo players. Guests will enjoy cocktails, dinner, dancing to the live music of the famous Bob Hardwick Sound Sensation Dance Orchestra of New York and the entertainment of Aspen-based Magician to the Stars Jeff Edmonds. Esteemed guests will include Honorary Chair Bobby Genovese and Honorary Co-Chair Brandon Phillips. The Charity Ball will include auction items, such as: a private yacht charter experience; an Ocala Equestrian Resort weekend package; a sport fishing package with TV show host, Carter Andrews; race car package with legendary race car driver, Brian Redman; and much more to come.
 
Following the success of "POLO with a PURPOSE" in Wellington, FL, LLS Executive Director, Pamela Payne is excited about the event's first year in Vero Beach. "We are grateful to BG Polo, Bobby Genovese and Brandon Phillips for all of their efforts on this event and the awareness it will bring to finding cures for not only blood cancers, but all types of cancers. Polo For A Purpose is a charity event benefitting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) - www.lls.org. Now in its 4th year, the event aims to support LLS in its mission to find cures for people who have leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma. The goal of LLS is not only to help cure blood cancers, but also to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
